Candace Maestas
Dental Hygienist
Born and raised in Las Vegas, NM, Candace Maestas began her dental career after graduating from Luna Community College in 2008 with a Dental Assisting degree. She later pursued her passion for preventive care and earned her Dental Hygiene degree from Pima Medical Institute in 2014. Candace loves helping patients understand and improve their oral health. Beyond dentistry, she is a fitness enthusiast and certified health coach, nutritionist, and exercise specialist. She enjoys working out, coaching her daughter’s cheer team, and spending time with her husband and two children.
Elena (Helen) Gutierrez
RDHBS
Helen Gutierrez was born and raised in Las Vegas, NM, and has devoted nearly 35 years to the dental field. She began her career after earning her certification as a Dental Assistant from Luna Vocational Technical Institute in 1978. Her passion for helping others led her back to school, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene from the University of New Mexico in 2006. Helen’s warm personality and professional dedication make her a favorite among patients. She continually attends dental conferences to stay current with the latest advances in dental hygiene research. Outside the office, Helen enjoys life in Northern New Mexico with her husband, John, their seven children, and twelve grandchildren.

Francine Solano
Dental Hygienist
Francine Solano is a skilled and compassionate Dental Hygienist with over 10 years of experience. A native of Bernal, NM, she earned her degree in Dental Hygiene from Pima Medical Institute. Francine takes pride in her gentle approach, detailed care, and focus on patient education. She strives to create a welcoming atmosphere where every visit is comfortable and informative. Outside of dentistry, Francine enjoys hunting, exploring the outdoors, and spending quality time with her husband and four children.
Nikkita Montoya
Scheduling Coordinator & Certified Dental Assistant
Nikkita Montoya has been part of the team since 2017 and brings warmth, organization, and dedication to her dual role as Scheduling Coordinator and Certified Dental Assistant. She earned her certification from Luna Community College. Nikkita’s favorite part of her work is building lasting relationships with patients. She is the proud mother of a talented young daughter and enjoys fishing, outdoor activities, and attending her daughter’s extracurricular events.
Karleen Montano
Marquisa Lucero
Sterilization Technician
With more than 22 years as a Licensed Practical Nurse, Marquisa Lucero brings invaluable healthcare experience to her role as Sterilization Technician. She joined the team in 2025 after graduating from Luna Community College. Marquisa ensures a clean, organized, and safe environment by sterilizing instruments and maintaining infection control standards. She values teamwork and the opportunity to contribute to efficient patient care. Outside the office, she enjoys spending time with her mom, son, brother, sister-in-law, and friends.
Joseph Rivera
Dental Assistant
Joseph Rivera joined the team in 2022 after completing the Dental Assisting Program at Luna Community College and earning his Radiology Certification from DANB. Known for his positive attitude and strong work ethic, Joseph enjoys creating a supportive environment for patients and coworkers alike. Outside of work, he loves hiking, camping, photography, and attending concerts. He is grateful for the encouragement of his parents, Evelyn and Rick, and his girlfriend, Hailey. Joseph aspires to advance in his field and one day become a dental hygienist or prosthetic lab owner.
